| Sugar Cookies and Chocolate Kisses... |
O
|
ne may say I have a sweet tooth just by the labeling of this
blog post. But it’s not quite exactly
what the post is about. The never-ending
discussion about black women and their singleness continues even after the
so-called end of the world. In my own thinking we can be some very stubborn to
death women when it comes to certain issues and no matter how you show them, they
will stay in the burning house until it burns down. Wisdom would dictate if there aren’t any fish or enough fish in a small pond or lake…move to another lake where the fish
are biting. Logic seems to be thrown out
of the window when it comes down to black men and their picking in women and
their seemingly enormous collective
choice not to marry (I wouldn’t either if I were getting the milk for
free!!) Better yet, black women have
been in the position of chasing without understanding they are chasing and the
men just sit back and become ever more narcissistic, like some desirable
commodity placed high in market value. Let the truth be told black women do this. What
we need to understand is this need to place the men high is a masculine trait
among the women. It is YOU who should be placed in a position of being
protected, provided and desired.
This is where some of you get to itching and squirming, as if truth becomes an eczema rash to your conscience…have
you not considered looking outside of your race to what *is* available? Men who are
willing to marry you, provide and protect and yes find you quite
desirable. There are some women of certain
demographics who have not even so much as dated a white male who will say, “But
I prefer my black man.” Let me ask you a question. According to black men’s actions…not his
words, does he prefer YOU? Does he have
the same allegiance to you as you have to him? Too many of us listen to words
only, without considering what they have actually been doing…or maybe what he
lacks in doing. It is like someone saying they prefer chocolate cookies over
sugar cookies but never tried a sugar cookie in their life! So the question
remains…how do you know you wouldn’t like a sugar cookie? You never tried even
one! Is that wisdom? I highly doubt it. But
more than likely the chocolate cookies have plenty of times been eaten by white women
LOL.
Perhaps dear ladies you should take a second look in the
bakery store.
